Hydrodynamic and Surface Energy-Based Trapping

The secret of reproducible nanoliter pipetting is based on hydrodynamic and surface energy-based trapping.

Every NeoPlate well consists of an upper and lower channel, each having a different resistance.
This resistance ratio and surface tension allow the wells to trap the fluid.
A unique air control valve prevents the fluid from escaping the wells and allows manipulation of the fluid in the trap.

One-Step Standard Curve

NeoPlate technology offers one-step serial dilution

Single step dilution increases accuracy & saves time on performing serial dilutions and creating standard curves.

Using an electronic pipettor, the diluting stream is passed through the trapped fluid at a set speed and volume. This affects different degrees of dilution of the trapped nanoliter fluid in the chamber.

Improved Sensitivity

NeoPlate technology uses the power of microfluidics and porous substrates to maximize the surface area to volume ratio. Thereby effectively increasing binding sites and allowing detection ranges that cannot be achieved using conventional well plates.
